Invisible Children
Linze and I have been reading a lot about Africa lately. From civil war in Sierra Leone, to the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, to the tragic toll AIDS is taking on the entire population–it seems that there is incredible suffering from one end of the continent to the other.
One issue that has flown under the radar in most of the world is the bloody struggle that grips Uganda. But thanks to the efforts of three college students from California, light is starting to shine on the terrible state of the country.
These students travelled to Uganda one summer and made a movie called Invisible Children, an incredible documentary focusing on children who live in fear of violence and abduction by the so-called “Lord’s Resistance Army.
Invisible Children is a powerful film that is beginning to move our generation to act for justice in Uganda. We will talk more about this issue when we gather for Sunday night worship. But to stir your thoughts and hearts, go ahead and watch the film.
You can watch it online via Google video.
